  • Designed for seniors (62+)
  • Income: Your annual gross household income must not exceed the low-income limits set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for your family size and location.
  • Family Status: You must meet the PHA’s definition of a family, which can include a single person, a couple, a family with children, or a group of two or more elderly or disabled individuals living together.
  • Citizenship or Immigration Status: You or another family member must be a U.S. citizen or have an eligible immigration status.
  • Background Check: The PHA will conduct a credit report and criminal background check for all adults in the household. Certain criminal activities, such as drug-related offenses and violent criminal activity, can lead to denial.
  • Landlord References – Past rental history and debts owed to previous landlords can result in ineligibility.
  • Lifetime Sex Offender Registration: If you are subject to the Lifetime Sex Offender Registry, you will be denied for Public Housing.

  • Rent is based on 30% of your adjusted income in accordance with HUD Section 8 program guidelines.
  • Rent includes all utilities with the exception of telephone and cable.
